Setting New Year’s Resolutions

Do you set New Year’s resolutions?

Many people spend the last few days of the year thinking about how they want to change their lives for the better.  Are you planning to lose weight?  Spend more time with loved ones?  Do something on your bucket list?

I’ve never gotte2013NewYearn into the resolution kick mainly because I feel that we shouldn’t wait until the end of the year to change something.  If you recognize a problem in your life, then that is the time to change it.  Christ gives us that opportunity.  You don’t have to wait.  His saving grace allows us to make that change at any time in our life.  The word repentance means to turn around or to turn away.  So whether you choose to set resolutions now or later, the main thing is that you make those changes in your life that turn you in the right direction.

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”  Luke 11:9

As we move into the new year, 2013, I pray that the Lord guides and blesses you.  May you find joy in whatever comes your way this year and beyond.  And if you are setting resolutions, feel free to post them here if you think it will help you stay on track with your planned changes.
